This presentation is aimed at helping leaders to reconfigure their understanding of the art of leadership. The same we talk about smart cities, smart phones and smart organizations, we have to examine the kind of leadership it will take to build and sustain strong systems in the 21st century. There are now digitized industries, automated work spaces and the internet of things. Ingleton proposes a model of leadership that is innovative and multi-faceted. She emphasizes that we have to shift the focus from the customer and the employees to the leader. She emphasizes the role of the leader in creating meaningful organizational change. She affirms that if we build the leadership, the leadership will fix the team and it will boomerang to the customer.

More importantly, it highlights uncomfortable truths, often not discussed. Key among these are: allowing team members to shine, the vulnerabilities of leadership, putting team members first and focusing on their emotional well-being.
